Our brand

From the mugs we drink from to the shirts we wear, we are proud of who we are and what we do. Our enthusiasm is infectious and the passion we have for technology, automation, digital transformation, and DriveWorks is clear.

We don’t just say it, we do it. We automate our own business processes with DriveWorks and we are always the first company in the world to use the latest version of our software. We rely on the software ourselves and always create technology we’re proud of.

Whether it’s helping each other in our day-to-day jobs, working with our resellers, answering customer questions, or even just giving directions to a delivery driver, we always strive to go above and beyond.

Listening and making a difference

If you’ve got an idea, we want to hear it. Change is good and there are always opportunities to learn. The opinions of everyone in our team really matter to us. Whether it’s a suggestion about our software, our offices, or even just the type of teabags we have, we listen and we act.

Not only do we listen to each other, discuss ideas and act on suggestions, we also listen to our resellers, customers, and the market. We dedicate time to learning about the market, at events or internally. We encourage suggestions and enhancement requests from our customers and take any opportunity to discuss what more we could do.

Latest technology

Keeping our knowledge up to date and learning about the latest technology is important in our industry. But also we really like playing with cool technology and new stuff!

We invest in the latest equipment, laptops, projectors, screens, even stand up desks. We research and explore technologies such as Virtual Reality, 3D Printing, Raspberry Pi. We regularly have projects spanning many different technologies. We are always looking for ways we can do more.

Investing in knowledge

Our team is our greatest asset. Training is hugely important and we invest in the learning and development of all of our team. We actively encourage our team to put time aside to research, learn and take certifications, accreditations and training. We also support knowledge sharing with regular lunch and learn sessions and weekly show & tells. Our commitment to investing in our people and their knowledge has been recognized by Investors in People, having proudly achieved Bronze accreditation in 2014 and Silver accreditation in 2017.

Career development

We understand the importance of investing in the future. We take on interns and graduates across several disciplines every year. DriveWorks trainees and employees benefit from internal and external training.

We actively encourage and support our team to work towards and attain professional accreditations. Every team member at DriveWorks has a personal development plan, this is our opportunity to decide together what’s important for your learning and development.

Warm and welcoming environment

Visit our offices and you’ll find yourself in a warm and welcoming environment. Being in Thelwall means we’re far enough from the traffic but close enough to everything we need.

We have lots of free, easy parking and our office is in the opposite direction of rush hour traffic. It’s a pretty nice place to work too, a converted farm with lots of character and a modern, technology-focused interior. Around our site, there’s a pond, horses, nice places to walk at lunchtime and a really cosy local pub. We’re proud to be part of the Warrington community.

Social activities

We spend most of our day with the people we work with so friendships are key. We have lots of opportunities inside and outside of work to get to know each other, from running and go-karting to escape rooms, pub quizzes, and badminton.

We’re big fans of a party and have an annual summer party, with pizza, beer and games, and a Christmas party with more food, more beer and more games. At the end of every month, we take a trip to the pub after work and on a Sunday we do the pub quiz by the fire. We make lunchtimes fun with a pool table, an Xbox, VR and also with beer brewing, design club, craft club, and any other club you can come up with!

Work hard and get rewarded

We aim to make DriveWorks a great place to work and reward our team for the hard work and commitment they put in. Everyone values different things, rewards are not one size fits all. We spend the time getting to know all of our team members and what’s important to them. We offer all employees a pension scheme, private medical insurance, fresh fruit, free refreshments, condiments and freshly ground coffee. Everyone has flexible working hours and the opportunity to work with the latest equipment and technology. We have a pool table, VR games and an Xbox.

Community

We support STEM, networking, and learning. We work with our education partners and have a certification program to help students and professionals further their careers. We attend, present at, support, and sponsor SOLIDWORKS User Group Network meetings worldwide and were awarded the SWUGN Partner of the Year Award two years running. We also support our local community. We are proud members of Manchester Digital, Cheshire & Warrington Growth Hub, and the Warrington Business Exchange. We also sponsor and support local causes and regularly fundraise for charities.
