Our Time at SOLIDWORKS World 2015

SOLIDWORKS World 2015 – our 12th year at SWW.

Members of the DriveWorks Team go to SOLIDWORKS World each year.

There is always so much to see and do so trying to round up our time there could result in a very, very long blog post.

We have been gathering useful links and posting photos on our Facebook page too.

So why do we make the long journey from the UK to the USA every year to attend SOLIDWORKS World?

1. We Sponsor & Exhibit
We were pleased to be silver sponsors again for SWW15.

Our booth in the Partner Pavilion had a new addition this year, the DriveWorks Kiosk – designed and made by our very own Design Club.

The Kiosk was a great way of encouraging people to just start “Configuring” using DriveWorks. We had people creating all sorts of products on it and also using the tablets and smartphones we had on our booth.

2. We Present
Ever since DriveWorksXpress first appeared inside SolidWorks we have been delivering a hands-on session at SOLIDWORKS World. Once again all the places were taken before Christmas and there were 20+ on a waiting list on the day.

3. We Listen and Learn
We also attend so we can hear what’s coming up in SolidWorks 2016. Although our developers are pretty close to the SOLIDWORKS team, it’s good to hear how SOLIDWORKS are presenting new features.

We always enjoy listening to the keynote speakers and this year’s talks from Dr. Michio Kaku and Jinsop Lee kept us interested and entertained.

Dr. Michio Kaku, Theoretical Physicist, Author & Professor presented How Technology Will Change Our Lives and JINSOP LEE – Chief Globalization Officer at Linno & Industrial Designer, presented on Designing For The Five Senses.
