Parity Medical have received funding through Made Smarter UK to introduce a virtual showroom to reduce costs and errors and speed up their sales process. At the heart of the solution is DriveWorks software, enabling Parity Medical’s sales teams and customers to design, engineer and configure custom products.

This month marks two years since we received our double Queen’s Awards. The awards are tangible recognition of our team’s hard work and commitment. We’re still just as proud today to be Queen’s Award holders as we were when we first received them two years ago. Let’s take a look back at what’s happened in the past two years.

DriveWorks Drivers is an opportunity for DriveWorks users from around the world to connect, share ideas and talk DriveWorks! It brings together customers, resellers, and partners to share technical knowledge as well as practical experience. On Thursday, September 9th we hosted the fourth DriveWorks Drivers meeting – here’s what happened during the event!

We recently had a chance to sit down and have a catch up with Kirby Downey and Jonny Harrison to talk about The CORE Podcast, Hallway Hangouts …and eating really spicy chicken wings whilst CAD modelling! In DriveWorks Solo you can create interactive and dynamic Forms easily by linking Form Controls together using Control Properties. By linking Control returns to other properties it is possible to change positions, visibility, values and selections within the DriveWorks Form and Project. This allows you to show different options based on selections and rules to aid guided selling. Find out more in this month’s DriveWorks Solo Tech Tip.

We are excited to launch Let’s Chat About. These brand-new technical discussion sessions will help you learn more about DriveWorks, improve your technical knowledge and get the most from the software. In each session, members of the DriveWorks team will discuss a specific topic, encouraging you to ask questions and share your own knowledge with others in the DriveWorks Community. DriveWorks Drivers aims to connect DriveWorks Users from around the world, invite guest speakers to share experiences and encourage questions and dialogue about the technology. Sharing technical know-how and practical experience informally with each other is something we know many people using DriveWorks like to do. We will be hosting the next meetings on Thursday, 9th September at 3pm and 9pm (BST) so feel free to join us at whichever time suits you best! Here’s what you can expect from the next meeting.

We have been busy catching up with lots of different people from all corners of the SOLIDWORKS Community over the past few months. On Saturday, August 21st at 6pm Paris, France local time, (just after the green flag waved starting the 24-hour Le Mans) this year’s SLUGME started! This was the 6th iteration of the SOLIDWORKS Largest User Group Meeting Ever – but instead of the largest event, this time it was the SOLIDWORKS Longest User Group Meeting Ever.

Every year we take on placement students across many of our team and this past year has been no different. During Sophie’s placement, we tasked her with developing a Phone Holder Configurator. The goal of the project was to create a new Example Configurator for DriveWorksLive.com demonstrating how DriveWorks can be used to generate 3D printing manufacturing data for highly customizable consumer products.

This week we’re joined by the team from SolidSolution for on-site technical training with our technical experts,Tom and Will. Solid Solutions are the UK’s largest SOLIDWORKS reseller and have office locations all around the country. They have a strong technical team with over 30 Elite Applications Engineers. It’s great welcome visitors back at DriveWorks HQ making use of our training room!
