We are excited to welcome a new member to our Team, seasoned DriveWorks Expert, Paul Gimbel. Many of you will recognize Paul. He has been a DriveWorks advocate for many years and his long-standing role in this industry has established him as a valued member of the DriveWorks Community. Now, we are delighted to announce we’re welcoming Paul into the heart of our team as DriveWorks Sherpa.

We love being a part of the SOLIDWORKS community and working with an amazing network of users. As part of our role in the community, we wanted to put a spotlight on just some of the user groups across this network and showcase their dedication. At DriveWorks, we have always valued the importance of providing opportunities for young people and investing in them. We have recently welcomed many new interns at DriveWorks, all of which have settled in brilliantly and have achieved their DriveWorks Solo & Pro Certifications.

We’re launching brand new monthly webinars focusing on DriveWorks Pro. Every month our Technical Sales experts will host these new webinars to give you an opportunity to learn more about DriveWorks, help you understand what you can achieve, and ask questions.

We’re taking a short break before we return with a new series of Let’s Chat About sessions. We’ve had lots of great conversations so far and we’re looking forward to continuing to host these sessions again in September. The Cheshire & Warrington Pledge hosted a Celebration Event to look back at their accomplishments over the last 3 years, share their plans for the future and present awards to say thank you to the people and businesses who have supported them. We’re extremely proud that DriveWorks’ Bridie was presented with the Outstanding Contribution Award.

After 2 plus years of (mostly) virtual SOLIDWORKS User Group Meetings, we were excited to join Brad Meador and Adam Ebernickel as they travelled over 2,000 miles by motorcycle to present at 6 SWUG meetings covering 4 states – for the very first IronSWUG Tour.

This year, DriveWorks reseller, Coffee GmbH is celebrating an incredible 25 years in industry! Coffee GmbH first became a DriveWorks reseller 5 years ago and has been successfully selling and supporting DriveWorks software ever since. Amee Meghani is Director of Engineering, South Region at GoEngineer and is a huge advocate for STEM, aiming to show young children the variety of career options available in STEM fields.

After being inspired by her dad from a young age, Julie went on to attend the University of Sunderland to study Automotive Engineering. She now works at Jaguar Land Rover and has recently been recognised as Automotive News Europe’s, rising star 2022.

Betty Baker is Domestic Casegoods Product Engineer at Ashley Furniture. Betty was the only female mechanical engineer to graduate from her class. She was also the first female product engineer hired at Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., over 35 years ago.
