We caught up with Marie Planchard, Senior Director, Education and Early Engagement, SOLIDWORKS to learn more about her background and how she started her journey with SOLIDWORKS.

This year the DriveWorks team took part in Movember. After 30 days of growth, the mo’s were looking pretty good, and so was their fundraising – this year, they have raised over £2,000! Well done everyone for raising money for such a great cause and thank you to everyone who helped the team exceed their target by donating and supporting!

On November 17th, user groups from around the globe joined together virtually for the SOLIDWORKS Largest User Group Meeting Ever, otherwise known as SLUGME. We were proud to be a part of it!

On Thursday, 5th November, England entered a second lockdown due to Coronavirus. Just as we adjusted to the first lockdown, we’re doing the same now. Although we love being in the office, we’ve made sure we can work from home successfully when we need to, and that we stay connected as a team. Following the latest government guidelines, we are fully operational, selling and supporting our software across the globe.

Normally during this time of year, our team would be heading out all around the world to attend our reseller’s SOLIDWORKS launch events. Although it’s a huge shame we can’t be there, it has worked well joining the events online. We take a look at how technology has improved capability online and some of the benefits we have seen from both attending and hosting virtual events.

Earlier this month, we caught up with Dan to get to know him a bit better and learn about his journey to becoming Manager of the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network. Our Industry Sample Projects are a great way to get started with DriveWorks design automation and using DriveWorks to create your first configurator. Since the pandemic began, we have seen a huge switch – businesses are utilising digital like never before, concentrating on technology that enables remote working, online communication and group collaboration.
