Recently, we had a chance to catch up with Sean O’Neill, Dassault Systems as the Senior Strategy and Community Manager. In this second part, we will be talking to Sean about how the pandemic has impacted the SOLIDWORKS Community and reminiscing on previous world events.

We’re excited to be involved at this year’s Smart Factory Expo 2021 event in Liverpool on the 10th and 11th November 2021! Smart Factory Expo is where manufacturers explore digital transformation technology and hardware that will give you a competitive advantage. Smart Factory Expo brings together expertise, ideas and opportunity – the manufacturing industry’s showcase for digital manufacturing.

Last month, we launched a new series of DriveWorks technical discussion sessions. We’ve had lots of great conversations so far and we’re looking forward to continuing to host these sessions every Thursday at 4pm (BST). Sign up for upcoming sessions and tell us what you would like to chat about.

Planning for 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022 is underway. Next year, 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022 will be held as a hybrid event on February 6-9, 2022, with the in-person event being held at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. We caught up with Simge Walsh, Senior Strategy and Program Manager at Dassault Systèmes for a sneak preview of what we can look forward to at this event!

Thank you to everyone who has joined us for DriveWorks Drivers and shared their story of using DriveWorks over the past year. It’s been great to network and learn from all members of our community. On December 9th, we will be holding our one-year anniversary and the final DriveWorks Drivers meeting of the year.

We’ve always valued the importance of investing in new talent and supporting the future of digital. Every year we take on new members across many of our teams and this year was no different. With restrictions lifting in England, we felt now was the perfect time to organise a ‘Get Together’ morning of team building and fun activities for our latest recruits.

Warrington has been our home for more than 15 years. Since we moved here, Warrington has continued to thrive and grow. With over half of the DriveWorks team living in and around Warrington, we think it’s a great place to live, work and socialise but it’s not just us who think that, more and more research suggests that Warrington is the place to be.

Last week we launched the first in a new series of DriveWorks technical discussion sessions. These Let’s Chat About sessions will help DriveWorks users to learn more about DriveWorks, improve technical knowledge and get the most from the software. For our first session, we decided to kick things off by chatting about What’s New in our latest release – DriveWorks 19. Here’s a round-up of our first technical discussion session.

Parity Medical have received funding through Made Smarter UK to introduce a virtual showroom to reduce costs and errors and speed up their sales process. At the heart of the solution is DriveWorks software, enabling Parity Medical’s sales teams and customers to design, engineer and configure custom products.

This month marks two years since we received our double Queen’s Awards. The awards are tangible recognition of our team’s hard work and commitment. We’re still just as proud today to be Queen’s Award holders as we were when we first received them two years ago. Let’s take a look back at what’s happened in the past two years.

It brings together customers, resellers, and partners to share technical knowledge as well as practical experience. In DriveWorks Solo you can create interactive and dynamic Forms easily by linking Form Controls together using Control Properties. By linking Control returns to other properties it is possible to change positions, visibility, values and selections within the DriveWorks Form and Project. This allows you to show different options based on selections and rules to aid guided selling. Find out more in this month’s DriveWorks Solo Tech Tip.
