Every year we hold a fundraising bake sale at DriveWorks HQ. This year’s took place on Wednesday 25th May, and we were fundraising for another cause very close to home. Thanks to the generosity of fantastic bakers, and everyone who joined in and donated, we raised a fantastic total and look forward to more fundraising activities throughout the year.

Brad Meador from the Star City SolidWorks User Group and Adam Ebernickel from the WNC-Asheville SolidWorks User Group join us to talk about an event that they’ve had in the works for a couple of years now – IronSWUG. IronSWUG is happening the week of July 18th and will follow these two User Group Leaders as they travel (by motorcycle) over 2,000 miles to present at 6 SOLIDWORKS User Groups that span 4 states. DriveWorks is sold worldwide and supported locally by authorized and certified DriveWorks value-added resellers. We work closely with our resellers, and at DriveWorks World, took the opportunity to thank and recognize those that excelled in 2021.

The Let’s Chat About sessions aim to help DriveWorks users to learn more about DriveWorks, improve their technical knowledge and get the most from the software. This new series of Let’s Chat About sessions is following on from the technical sessions held at DriveWorks World 2022. Join our team as we dive further into your favourite DriveWorks topics.

DriveWorks Drivers aims to connect DriveWorks Users from around the world, featuring guest speakers sharing experiences and encouraging questions and dialogue about the technology. We will be hosting the next meetings on Thursday, 16th June at 3pm and 9pm (BST) so please join us at whichever time suits you best. Check out what’s on the agenda and how to sign up.

During DriveWorks World 2022, we were joined by over 700 DriveWorks customers, resellers and partners from 40 different countries. Behind the cameras that brought DriveWorks World to you, there were a lot of cogs turning to bring two days of online technical learning and knowledge sharing.

Last year, we launched a new series of DriveWorks technical discussion sessions. After the sessions being such a success, we are excited to announce more sessions. Each week we’ll be chatting all about DriveWorks and deep-diving into different topics. Find out more and register to join us!

Last week, we were proud to be sponsoring the High Sheriffs Award for Digital Innovation. Digital innovation is something we’re extremely passionate about at DriveWorks, so it was great to see what other businesses across Cheshire and Warrington are achieving through digital innovation, as well as experiencing another in-person event since the pandemic. We were proud to announce Think Beyond as the winner of this year’s High Sheriff Award for Enterprise for Digital Innovation.

Heather from the DriveWorks team recently shared a virtual coffee with Stephen Holmes, Editor in Chief at DEVELOP3D. During the conversation, Stephen chatted through his plans for the publication and gave his perspective on how the past two years have affected the 3D design industry.

We’ve always valued the importance of investing in our team and supporting the future of digital. As the DriveWorks customer and reseller network continues to grow, we are pleased to welcome lots of new members to our team. Being in the position to invest in and support young talent is extremely rewarding for us. This is a really exciting time for us and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our team further.

DriveWorks World is the annual technical learning and networking event for DriveWorks users with active subscription. This year the event is free and online. With less than 2 weeks to go until DriveWorks World, we wanted to share with you what you can expect from this year’s all-virtual event.

Recently, we had a chance to catch up with Chinloo Lama. Chinloo is the User Experience Design Director and STEAM Outreach at Dassault Systèmes. She shared a bit of her background and how she was able to incorporate her engineering education with her creative side to help navigate a career that thus far has been truly impactful without compromising who she is.
