SOLIDWORKS World is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see you all in Dallas!
SOLIDWORKS World 2016 will be DriveWorks’ 13th year at SOLIDWORKS World and we’re excited to be a part of the action again – sponsoring, exhibiting, presenting, listening and learning.
There are going to be plenty of presentations about Design Automation and DriveWorks, including one from our CEO Glen Smith.
You’ll find a list of all the presentations on the agenda, but here’s a few presentations that we’re excited about…
Design and Quote – Use SOLIDWORKS and DriveWorks to Win Custom Orders.
On Monday, February 1st, Stephen Sagi from DriveWorks customer, Pine Instruments, will be presenting a breakout session with our Technical Applications Specialist, Matt on ‘Design and Quote – Use SOLIDWORKS and DriveWorks to Win Custom Orders’.
The break out session is part of the Customer Success & Integrated Solutions category.
During the session, you will learn to:
– Create a link between your SOLIDWORKS seats and the web.
– Integrate your SOLIDWORKS models into your website.
– Give your users/customers first-hand experience with your designs.

An Introduction to DriveWorksXpress
- On Tuesday, February 2nd, Chris Cassettari from the DriveWorks team, will be presenting a hands-on ‘Introduction to DriveWorksXpress’ session.This session will be an introductory tutorial intended to give a hands-on proficiency of DriveWorksXpress.If you have SOLIDWORKS then you already have DriveWorksXpress so why not learn how to use this free, time saving tool to automate modifications to your SOLIDWORKS parts, assemblies and drawings.Join Chris to learn how to:
- Drive SOLIDWORKS geometry
- Create an input form and link the output fields to the model
- Use rules to automate and configure model variations
- Use rules to automate and configure model variations
DriveWorksXpress Essentials Hands-on Lab
On Tuesday, February 2nd, Ryan Dally, Applications Engineer from DriveWorks Reseller CATI, will be presenting a ‘DriveWorksXpress Essentials Hands-On Lab’.
This hands-on training will prepare students to automate their designs using DriveWorksXpress, which is included with every seat of SOLIDWORKS.
Topics include:
- Planning for automation
- Leveraging your existing models
- Growing your automation.
Integrating DriveWorks with Enterprise PDM.
On Wednesday, February 3rd, David Mandl will be presenting a breakout session on‘Integrating DriveWorks with Enterprise PDM’.
DriveWorks and SOLIDWORKS PDM are valuable tools that can save companies time by automating key elements of their engineering processes. This session will introduce attendees to some of the ways that the two may be integrated into a single cohesive solution.
