Harrods Celebrates Customization

This weekend, Harrods have been celebrating customization.

Harrods is an iconic British brand – an upmarket department store located in Knightsbridge, London.

As the biggest department store in Europe, it is one of London’s popular tourist attractions.

This weekend, Harrods have been celebrating customisation. We have been following the action on Instagram.

The celebration ‘Made to Measure’ brought together 24 of the world’s top tailoring brands, for the fifth biannual celebration of the art of personalised and made-to-measure luxuries.

“We are thrilled to present our biannual Made-to-Measure event. The sheer range of apparel within Made To Measure is something that we are proud to be championing this season,” says Jason Broderick, Director of Menswear, Sports and Fine Watches at Harrods.

From suiting to footwear, cufflinks and luggage – and with the new addition of luxury casual pieces such as made-to-order denim and leather, tailoring brands from around the globe sent their master tailors to the event, to ensure the perfect fit and finish.

Demand has never been higher for customized and personalized goods.

Just like the custom, hand painted shoes at Harrods, personalized goods give customers a really positive experience. Being able to chose their exact specifications feels great, as Harrods said, it’s a luxury.

The Harrods Made To Measure event showcased the different degrees of personalisation – from made-to-measure to all-out bespoke.

In a similar way, using DriveWorks sales configurators, companies can offer custom products with different degrees of customisation.

As a rules-based system, DriveWorks allows restrictions to be put in place to ensure the products selected can be manufactured and meet any company or industry standards, whilst also providing customers with the ability to create their own products, to their exact specifications.

This technology can be embedded in your own website to give customers a smooth, professional user experience. Customers can see the choices available to them and choose a product that suits them. They can quickly and easily see, in 3D, how their chosen product will look. Documentation is automatically sent, again, giving customers a great experience.
