How do I get my 3D Preview to update whenever I change values on my form?
A 3D Preview File created from DriveWorks Autopilot is based on the File Name of the Top Level Assembly.
If you have your model set to DWSpecification, you will only be able to create one 3D Preview File for that specification. This is because the 3D File is given the same name as the generated model and once this is created you can’t create a file again with the same name.
To get around this, we give the Top Level Assembly an intelligent File Name. We base the file name on the parameters that we want to change with the specification. Every time we change a value, the file name changes to be something different.
This allows you to preview a new 3D File from DriveWorks Autopilot. If you set parameters that you have already used, DriveWorks will re-use he file and not generate it again.
This means you will build up a library of 3D files.
