DriveWorks World 2025 Round Up

DriveWorks World 2025 had record attendance with the highest number ever of DriveWorks resellers and customers joining us for our annual technical learning event.

DriveWorks World was streamed live from DriveWorks HQ in Warrington, UK, via the DriveWorks World event app, enabling our audience to join us from locations worldwide. Live stream sessions were recorded and are available to watch back via the app for attendees who were unable to join us live or would like to re-watch any of the sessions.

DriveWorks World 2025 highlights

How manufacturers use DriveWorks

Manufacturers from a range of industries shared how they use DriveWorks technology and the benefits they’ve achieved through design automation and CPQ technology.

Because DriveWorks is modular, scalable, and versatile, our customers use DriveWorks in many different ways to suit their industry needs.

For DriveWorks World attendees, seeing how other companies use our technology was a great way to get new ideas for their own implementations. We heard from:

What’s new in DriveWorks 23 & new feature deep dives

We shared details of the new functionality that will be delivered with DriveWorks 23. Responses in the live chat were resoundingly positive, and for the DriveWorks team members who have been working on the new functionality, it was great to see such good feedback.

The What’s New sessions were followed by New Feature Deep Dive sessions, where DriveWorks technical experts took us on a live tour of some of the features announced in the What’s New sessions.

This enabled attendees to see under the hood of some of the new functionality, and also enabled presenters to share interesting use cases on how they see the new functionality being used, and respond directly to audience questions.

DriveWorks World 2025 live implementation

New for DriveWorks World 2025, was a live implementation that members of the DriveWorks team worked on throughout the event. Their brief was to build an online configurator for a custom gate company. The live implementation team worked collaboratively across two locations, with Dorian Koch, DriveWorks Senior Technical Specialist, working from his base in France, and the rest of the team working from DriveWorks HQ.

The team joined us live in the studio to share their progress and discuss how and why they have implemented specific features and functionality. This was an interactive feature, with attendees shaping the focus of the implementation via polls in the event app. Look out for the finished configurator on driveworkslive.com soon.

Our guide to successful implementations

We shared the five habits of successful DriveWorks implementations. We’ve seen many different customer implementations, enabling us to share our best practice for successfully using DriveWorks technology to build a configurator

Those five habits are:

  1. Having a continuous improvement mindset
  2. Making use of test cases,
  3. Rolling out regular updates
  4. Maintaining a consistent, flexible vision
  5. Making decisions based on business value

Tuning your implementation

We shared insight on the tools and techniques to help identify areas for improvement in your DriveWorks implementations.

Even if your implementation is currently in production, you can still tune. Tuning will provide you with greater detail, enable you to optimize your processes ahead of any further development, provide you with an opportunity for pre-testing, and help with early identification of issues.

Panel discussions

DriveWorks World panel discussions on 3D and design automation brought together DriveWorks technical experts to share their insight on different features and functionality.

We also featured an interactive “Ask the experts” panel, with a group of DriveWorks experts answering questions that attendees had submitted via the event app. It was a great opportunity for the DriveWorks World audience to get their questions answered directly by a panel of DriveWorks technical experts.

Positive feedback

The live chat function in the DriveWorks World 2025 event app enabled attendees to engage with the live sessions and provide immediate feedback in the live chat.

It was great to see such positive feedback on sessions, not only for those hosting the live sessions, but also for other DriveWorks team members watching and working behind the scenes. Here’s a small selection of the feedback:

Thank you all for the great event, see you next year. Awesome job everyone!
