Investing in Our Team
We’ve always valued the importance of investing in our team and supporting the future of digital.
As the DriveWorks customer and reseller network continues to grow, we are pleased to welcome lots of new members to our team.
Over the last 18 months, we have introduced lots of new people to the DriveWorks team, including welcoming back some of our previous placement students who have re-joined us as graduates.
Being in the position to invest in and support young talent is extremely rewarding for us. This is a really exciting time for us and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our team further.

Welcoming New Members to the DriveWorks Development Team
In December, we were delighted to appoint Philip Stears as DriveWorks Chief Technology Officer. Philip brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, with a career so far spanning 20+ years in tech, development, and IT. He first joined DriveWorks back in 2001 as one of our very first developers.
Since Philip has joined us, we’ve also welcomed Phil as our new Development Team Manager. Phil brings 22 years of experience in working with and managing a development team.
Another new member of the Development team is John, who has joined as a Senior Developer. Just in time to see the anticipated release of DriveWorks 20!
New Starters Join the DriveWorks Technical Team
In January, we welcomed three new starters to our Technical Team.
Nathan, Connor and Sebastian all joined us after graduating from university.
They are settling in well to their Graduate Training Scheme and have already been a huge asset to the team.
So far they have been involved in testing DriveWorks 20 and we are looking forward to getting them involved in their first DriveWorks World!
Sales and Marketing is Expanding
The DriveWorks Sales and Marketing teams are also growing.
Sarah joined the Sales team back in November as a Junior Applications Engineer. In her role, Sarah is already using her Chinese speaking skills to help facilitate relations with our Chinese resellers and customers.
We’ve welcomed two new members to our Marketing team as well.
Oliver has joined the team as a Front-End Web Developer to keep our websites up to date and help us add more useful resources to our websites.
We’ve also welcomed Amy to the Marketing team as a Graduate Content Marketing Assistant. Amy has joined us following completing a master’s degree in Marketing.
Our Operations Team Has a New Team Member
Last but not least, we’ve welcomed Rita to the DriveWorks Operations team as our Office Manager.
Rita has a strong background in office, sales and customer service management across different industries and a passion for languages. Rita has only been with us for a few weeks but is already helping us to keep the cogs turning at DriveWorks HQ.
Get Together Morning
As we have done in the past, we thought it would be a good idea to get all our new starters together to get to know each other and learn more about each other’s role within the company.
The ‘Get Together’ morning including team building and fun activities for our latest recruits.
The morning started with some words from DriveWorks VP & Co-Founder, Maria, before Bridie gave a catch up on the company and a run-through of the DriveWorks Glossary. The DriveWorks Glossary is a handy tool that explains the common terms we frequently use in our day to day life at DriveWorks.
After a quick coffee break, the group got started on the getting to know each other part of the morning. First, everyone was split into different teams and tasked with finding out information about each other to share with the group.
Next, they moved on to getting to know everyone at the company a bit better by attempting to match different interesting facts to the DriveWorks team member it belongs to.
The penultimate activity was a trusted onboarding favourite, DriveWorks Lost at Sea, before ending on a ‘Where is Bridie at DriveWorks?’ game.
We’re looking forward to holding more team-building events over the coming months and coming together next week to hold our annual technical training event DriveWorks World.
Life at DriveWorks
In our converted barn offices on a rural farm in Warrington, there’s a lot more going on than initially meets the eye.
From a recording studio to a training room and even a social rec area for employees, our space offers everything we need to inspire innovation and big ideas.
But it’s not just location that’s important to us, as a company, we really care about investing in our people, their learning and development and having the right tools and technologies to work smarter.
The ideas and opinions of everyone in our team really matter to us. Whether it’s a suggestion about our software, our offices, or even just the type of teabags we have, we listen and we act.
From the mugs we drink from to the shirts we wear, we are proud of who we are and what we do.
