We were really excited to reconnect with our users for the first DriveWorks Drivers virtual networking meeting of the year last week!
Connecting DriveWorks Users
Since starting DriveWorks Drivers in 2020, we have been pleased to see the community and the enthusiasm around DriveWorks grow even further. We enjoy having the space to get our customers, resellers, and partners together, sharing knowledge and having the chance to present concepts and ideas in practice. DriveWorks Drivers gives users from around the world the opportunity to connect and talk about all things DriveWorks. DriveWorks Drivers helps our users get the most out of their software and the community.
DriveWorks Drivers is hosted via Microsoft Teams at both 3pm (GMT) and 9pm (GMT). Hosting at different times means that our global community has the opportunity to join at a time that suits them.

DriveWorks World 2023 Preview
With the countdown being on for our annual technical event, DriveWorks World, we thought we would share a sneak preview of what to expect at this year’s event.
DriveWorks Marketing Manager, Jessica joined both meetings to share the latest news from our team on how to access the event and share what you can expect.
Jessica showed off the exciting event app which will host all of this years content for DriveWorks World in one accessible place.
The attendees of the meetings got an exclusive tour of the event app and an insight into just some of the content that will be delivered over the three days.
The focus of DriveWorks World is always on sharing knowledge, technical know-how and handy tips and tricks.
Once again this year we have a packed agenda we can’t wait to share with you. There will be live sessions happening throughout the event featuring panel discussions, technical focus, customer stories, and of course What’s New in our latest release. In the event app, you can add your favorite sessions to your personal agenda to build out a list of sessions you don’t want to miss.
Alongside the live broadcast, there will also be over 100 on-demand technical learning sessions for you to access at any time. These sessions cover a variety of DriveWorks topics, at different skill levels.
We’ve also added more features to the event app so you can get the most out of this year’s event. Check out the agenda here and register got free!
3DEXPERIENCE World Recap
In February, we were pleased to send 13 members of the DriveWorks team to Nashville to attend 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023. As a silver sponsor of the event and a SOLIDWORKS Gold Partner, we were proud to be exhibiting, presenting, learning, and networking. It was great to be back at an in-person event and catch up with lots of people in our community and hear the latest news about the Platform.
DriveWorks Sherpa, Paul Gimbel was one of the team to attend the event, so as part of the DriveWorks Drivers meeting, he gave a review of some of the announcements that were made in Nashville.
In his review of 3DEXPERIENCE World, Paul covered the announcement from 3DEXPERIENCE Works Vice President Gian Paolo Bassi that every seat of SOLIDWORKS will ship with cloud services starting in July 2023.
Paul also shared some of the sessions and optimization technologies showcased at 3DEXPERIENCE World, and gave some insight into the work that DriveWorks is doing with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as well as a few teasers for DriveWorks 21 were also revealed.
The Final Ascent – a Technical Summit with the DriveWorks Sherpa
In this session’s installment of The Final Ascent, with Paul Gimbel, our DriveWorks Sherpa guided us through 3rd Party Integration Pass up to the summit of Implementation Mountain.
Paul provided insight into the three categorizations of integrations, how that helps us to determine which DriveWorks techniques and functionality to use, and how to evaluate the requirements of our integrations.
If you have any questions or ideas for topics to be covered in this segment at future meetings, please send us an email at drivers@driveworks.co.uk.
Future Topics
DriveWorks Drivers meetings are a great way to engage in a discussion with users from across the DriveWorks Community to hear more about what they are doing with DriveWorks software.
The goal of DriveWorks Drivers has always been to help connect DriveWorks users from around the world and to have them drive the meeting. Getting feedback from our users on what they’d like to hear is key to achieving this goal.
If you have an idea for a future DriveWorks Drivers meeting or a technical summit delivered by Paul Gimbel, let us know.
