DriveWorks 3D Files can be created in DriveWorks 3D Workshop – BRAND NEW and free inside DriveWorks Pro 9.
DriveWorks 3D Workshop allows DriveWorks 3D Files to be modified for viewing in the following web browsers:
- Internet Explorer 8 or higher
- Google Chrome 11 or higher
- Firefox 3.6 or higher
But how do you create a DriveWorks 3D file?
A DriveWorks 3D File is created from a SolidWorks model. To save your SolidWorks model as a DriveWorks 3D File, just follow these easy steps:
1. Open the SolidWorks Part or Assembly in SolidWorks
2. Select Save As from the File menu in SolidWorks
3. Select DriveWorks 3D File (*.drive3d) from the Save As type field
4. Browse to a location to store the DriveWorks 3D File, enter a name and click Save.
Your DriveWorks 3D File is now created.
