Our Double Queen’s Award Presentation and Technology Open Day
This year we achieved two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, recognising our outstanding performance in Innovation and International Trade.
On Friday 6th September, we held our Queen’s Award presentation and Digital Technology & Automation Open Day at our corporate headquarters in Thelwall, Warrington.
Proudly flying the Queen’s Award flag at our corporate headquarters, we welcomed 135 guests to join us.
We gathered in the courtyard in front of the Barley Store, as the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Mr David Briggs M.B.E. presented the two awards and Royal Grant of Appointments, to our company founders, DriveWorks CEO Glen Smith and Vice President, Maria Sarkar, on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
Amongst the guests joining us to celebrate our achievements were Cllr Wendy Johnson, Mayor of Warrington, Faisal Rashid, Local MP for Warrington South, DriveWorks customers, friends, family and many other members of the local community.
The Queen’s Awards are the highest award available to UK businesses and recognise outstanding achievement.
More than 200 businesses, including 151 small and medium enterprises, were awarded Queen’s Awards for Enterprise back in April.
This year, we are one of only 6 companies in the UK to receive a Double Queen’s Award.
Described by David Briggs M.B.E as “a truly great achievement and testament to the hard work and commitment from the entire DriveWorks team”.
Digital Technology & Automation Open Day
Our Digital Technology & Automation Open Day showcased our award-winning software and gave guests the opportunity to see the software in action.
There were live configurators, videos, 3D printers and virtual reality to explore.
Our unique software allows manufacturers to build their own 3D configurators so that they can easily sell online and manufacture digitally. It is being used by companies across Europe, North America, Australia and in the Asia-Pacific region.
The benefits of using DriveWorks software can be applied to any company that wants to sell customisable or configurable items.
“We are all so proud to have received this recognition. The award inspires us to do more, to keep on innovating and working hard to maintain our strong international channel. We are pleased to be making a significant contribution to the economy and local community”
DriveWorks CEO Glen Smith
