Providing training for others is an essential part of what we do!
People who take DriveWorks training invariably have a broad range of experience and our training material has to cater for engineers who are using DriveWorks Pro, have tried DriveWorks Solo and also people who are completely new to the software and Design Automation.
Within our DriveWorks Pro Training manual there is a basic structure of lessons that cover core concepts and these lessons are supported with additional exercises and more advanced tasks which can be very useful in mixed ability classes.
One of our mottos here at DriveWorks is ‘Helping Others to Help Themselves’ so we work hard to provide resources that make DriveWorks easy to learn and easy to use. We have spent a lot of time making our training manuals straightforward and easy to follow and ensuring our training at reseller events, SOLIDWORKS World and DriveWorks World are all well planned with plenty of extra lessons for those who finish the training early.
With this motto/goal in mind, we have created a range of training resources to cater for different learning styles and different situations – whether it is DriveWorks Reseller-led training, online training or courses at DriveWorks World. Great Feedback
As we put so much time and effort into the training material we provide, we’re always very keen to receive feedback from our customers and resellers. Recently Patrick Molimard, of DriveWorks Reseller SolidXperts, spent some time with our Pre-Sales Engineer Chris and he sent us some great feedback.
“The first training I got was from Chris Cassettari and it was perfect. The training to complete the pro certification was well managed, known and explained.
When starting implementation and supporting other customers I received a very fast and efficient response from the DriveWorks support team considering the 5 hour time difference. Response was usually the next morning, if not the same day. By learning how to explain issues I received better responses at the first try. So I was able to quickly learn how to obtain functionality “Out of the box” by getting good references from the support team. There’s a lot of demo projects to learn how to obtain certain results and with the knowledge of the DriveWorks Tech Team, when responding to support request, they were sending me specific sections of specific projects, references to the online help file as well as webinars in which I could find my answer.
Learning new software in another language is not easy. So to understand the philosophy of DriveWorks programming I had remote coaching sessions in which Chris was able to explain why and how to use certain functionality and even writing code to demonstrate results. It was a key factor in the learning curve. Also I found attending Track 2 of DriveWorks World 2016 extremely beneficial. Track 2 was few days of advanced technical training mainly focusing on new functionality in DriveWorks. With my level of knowledge I wasn’t able to fully understand all the specific coding but it give me a clear indication how I should develop projects. Networking with other user helps to understand other approaches and how to get around certain limitations.
